Still got 12 Years hard labour to do yet ;D

You are aware that the bar is constantly raised for a state pension?
It may be 12 years today... :)

As you say the bar is moving. I therefore
may never reach retirement age.

I do recall green shield stamps very well and am "economically inactive" in late forties.

My strange "time warp" is that my Dad and a guy called Alex Higgins used to scrounge or steal bottles and jars for a snooker club that was genuinely known as the jampot club as you could pay with them and now I grab every jar I can find to store heads.

As my old mate Rigsbee (who is well retired)
says. "There are only two things guaranteed in
life, Death and Taxes."
Spoken like a true Yorkshire man :)

(I was going to quote in black for effect and a change, but realised the visual waste) :D

I fully expect to never "retire", and only hope that I will die in harness still doing a paid job that I enjoy.
Or on a slightly brighter note, maybe being pulled over the side of my wee sailboat mid-ocean by the biggest Tuna I have ever hooked. ;D

I remember Brook Bond stamps very well, having stuck many to cards.

Also well remember a Co-op divy of 2/6p in the pound.

Plus war time rations we couldn't afford to buy.

You beat me to the co-op stamps. My mother used to have me thinking that sticking the co-op and green shield stamps was better than getting football album stickers.
