FOR SALE - POT / VM / LM Proportional Splitter + ancillaries
My new shed is not tall enough to allow 8 bubble plates and my old LM VM set up, so it is surplus to requirements.
I am selling my;
LM (Bokakob) VM selector - only one in existence that I know of but works very well.
It has two thermometer locations but my thermometers are crap - you can have them if you want but............
Copper Needle Valve - made from a bicycle spoke but works like a dream
Misc. supply pipework - three valves for two cooling water supplies and one backwash
Reflux Coil - big enough for a stripper, never tried it but I believe it will cope with more than 5kw standing on its head
1m(ish) 22mm over 15mm crimped VM product Lieberg condenser
0.4m(ish) 15mm over 10 mm crimped LM product Lieberg cooler
The only thing that you will not get is the column and boiler connector and boiler.
I am not desperate to sell it, but I would rather it be used than gather dust.
Sensible offers over £60 pounds, Buyer collects NE England or pays postage.
Interested? please PM me.

I reckon that you will get some interest here Brian, Purely 'cos you broke a little ground.
You may need to give a little more detail for the final buyer.
Don't become a stranger here...
Robert.

Re: FOR SALE - POT / VM / LM Proportional Splitter + ancilla
The pictures slightly confuse me but there's a strong desire to say I want it. If got this would that mean I don't have to cut and fit my own plates in my new boka built and would just have to get a cool made up, or is that included?

You get everything.
Coil, fitted slant plates, needle valve, VM take off, Liebergs etc etc etc.
All you need to provide is
1) A boiler, I used a Second Hand Burco, there is a current thread highlighting Stainless Steel Fusti's they would make a lovely boiler,
2) A heating element would cost £10
3) Power Controller you can buy or build its up to you, £20 should more than cover it
4) a connector to connect a piece of 2" pipe to the boiler lid - I built mine but they are now readily available.
5) a piece of 2" copper pipe - the longer the better, you can buy it by the meter. 1.0 meter minimum 1.5m would be ideal. the still will produce 96.0% with 300mm of packing but it tastes awful, the higher the column the better the product.
6) bits and pieces - hoses, pan scrubbers etc.
Use the LM (Bok) to compress the heads, I can get the heads down to 10% of the take-off. Then change to either Pot still for flavoured drinks or VM for neutral.

Hoping that you guys get to finalise the deal.
It seems like a good one to me,I watched YHB build this thing.
It was very instructive.
You may have jumped a couple of levels Devon, but I do believe YHB will offer some guidance, if needed.
And if he doesn't, then he is off my Xmas card list!
ATB to the both of you,
Robert.

I think I've jumped a few levels too, but I'm sure I will learn the art of this. I'm going to
Amsterdam in March for a distilling workshop at iStill so I will learn even more then.
