Whilst surfing the web I came across this make from Sweden

Seem to make various yeasts and an air still looking very like the SS one

Anyone come across or tried these products ?

Yes, Gert Strand has been around for many years. If I remember rightly, it's the same bit of kit but branded as EasyStill. Tried to speak to them when I first started out (before this site even existed) - very unhelpful as I recall but suppose people are quite secretive in this field.

As far as I know, AirStill is what Still Spirits call it at the moment, mine is a SmartStill which isn't Still Spirits branded though is exactly the same - this is how they used to be sold in the UK, no idea if Still Spirits made them or if it was someone else. I *think* that the difference was that a SmartStill could be bought either as a standard water distiller, or a factory modified version which was far more suitable for alcohol. If I had to guess, I'd say they released the SmartStill in both versions to test the water and under a generic brand name, then when all was OK came out with the branded AirStill. Purely a guess.

EasyStill I think it the Gert Strand version which was also sold in the US but as you can see, things are quite murky. There's also a knock off version out there somewhere that someone mentioed once, Chinese thing with some slightly different features if memory serves.

So to all intents and purposes - AirStill = SmartStill = EasyStill unless anyone knows different.

I haven't, think they have some connection to Prestige essences though.

They are indeed Prestige and they sell bulk essence which is much cheaper than the little bottles
