Re: Our latest purchase
TVM Robert.......
I can see a few potential extra bits that'd need sorting, but it does seem to offer all the flexibility to be able to connect up most different arrangements i.e. a pot head, any number of different reflux columns etc.....
Nice.......

Some answers coming up,
Cost £180.00
Heating, Electric element on the way ( 2KW)
Element fits in tri-clamp plate threaded 1"BSP
Also found 40 amp SSR power controler for under £10.00. Tried it on 1400 watt heater and could vary power from full down to 160 watts.

Re: Our latest purchase
Fitted a 2KW heater (actually producing 2.4 KW) works fine but ordered a 3KW to try. Higher power purely for initial heat up. Once up to temperature with both pot and reflux column we seem to settle between 1100 and 1600 watts prgressing to the higher temp as we approach tails.

Some nice gear Opus. For others that might be interested, I buy all my stainless steel tanks, etc. through www.alibaba.com. Then look around in alcohol distillation, or milk tanks, or fermentation tanks, etc.

@AM: Yes - there are advantages to being in this part of the world, but Alibaba is set up for people from all over the world to be able to find items anywhere that they are produced. Not just China.
Take a look at their site. I like to check on what is available from time to time.

Alibaba and Sourcing Map are my two main 'Go To' sites when searching for things I can't find or afford in my little country
