Just a couple I know about.
Just make sure you connect the water pipes up the right way around
Get some PTFE tape in case of leaks.
I have a power controller so I get the T500 up to the boil, increase the water and reduce the power to compress the heads as much as possible, then put the power back up to max to collect the hearts.
If you are charging the boiler with stripped wash (or low wines) then dilute the wash down to 30% as this allows for better separation of the heads (thanks CC for that one)

Hi mate
From my experience
Water pressure is everything look at mine and earlier posts about introducing a pressure releif valve makes life so much easier
And once column is packed and right way up tap the top to drop copper and ceramic packing off the coil. Works soo much better
Enjoy

In all honesty Dan, the best advice I could offer is HAVE FUN and ENJOY the hobby
Try different recipes, try not to take it all too seriously and you will fall into your own rhythm with what suits you and your taste.
