Stripping run, pot still or condensor.

Postby guest5234 » Wed Aug 02, 2017 9:47 am

I have a lot of cider from last years harvest 100 gallons, its all finished at 0.988 about 7%...I want to make apple brandy which I will have to to use the pot still for as the column will strip the flavor. But on the gin which I will spirit run on the pot still with botanicals what is the best equipment for the stripping run? the condensor or the pot still.
Cheers
note.....just seen you should not use the condensor for stripping runs.

Can you pour me a glass of what ever you are drinking?
You lost me half way through your post. :)

Well, I would say the pot for any strip.
And the pot again for any Gin.
Am I missing something here? :)

If you really love your Gin I suggest you
buy an Air Sill new or 2nd hand. Make a
Sputnik and you will never look back, I
haven't Thanks to all the help and advise.
They are a good bunch of people and I am
very proud of what i now produce. ;)
Rather have a full bottle in front of me
than a full frontal lobotomy

Hey, I just re-read this, and think that I understood the original question?

It does not matter how you produce the neutral used to produce your gin.
Don't recommend using strip with botanicals
Is that what you wanted to know?
