Costco Beverage Jar £19

3 gallon capacity, toughened glass, stainless steel spigot. £19.

There is a little plastic washer on the inside of the glass for the tap, but I am not worried. Not going to put anything stronger than 40% in it anyway.

My idea is to use it as a storage tank for finished vodka.

I am no glass expert but its made in Spain and looks sturdy enough.

Glass is about 5mm thick, with a slight greenish hue. Nice sturdy bottom bit, and the lid is chunky.

The tap seems sturdy enough. The flow rate isn't amazing but it decants ok for me.

Costco being Costco they always have a display one that you can mess around with.

Its much better than having three demijohns I know that.

Cool, a Rumtoft.

my nextdoor neighbour has one. fills it with rum and adds overripe friut to it over a period of months whilst always covering the friut with rum until full.

His is a pottery one though.

Nice, i might ask for one for xmas

A few other similar jars - a bit more expensive - but they sell the taps / spigots separatly if you fancy making your own.
