Info specific to the T500

Reflux on turbo T500

Going to use my new T500 next week when my wash has finished fermenting, stripping with my alembic pot still first then a spirit run through the T500 what is getting the T500 into reflux, can someone go through the initial stage of THIS PLEASE

100% refluxing is where you ignore the temp gauge and turn up the flow of water until you get no flow of spirit.
All of the spirit vapour is being cooled and is dropping back down the column, it then heats up again and climbs until it is cooled again, simple terms round and around

cheers vino, so i turn water full on for say first 15 mins and then turn down water flow.

Yep 100% reflux for 15 to 30 mins depending how patient you are, then turn down the water flow until the spirit just trickles not a slow drip or fast flowing.

EDIT: Personally I never paid attention to the temp gauge, I ran it on flow rate.

Depending on your water pressure, if you turn it on full, you'll likely pop a hose.
When the alcoholic first starts to drip, turn up the water just enough so that nothing comes off the product condenser. You want to avoid over cooling the vapour in the column.
