If you think you can't be tracked here via your IP address, then you're very much mistaken.

The risk of taking part in any type of public area conversation, means you accept that risk.

The page/group is secret. Whether that makes it searchable ? I don't believe so. Outsiders can't see who is in the group and they can't see what's posted.

Actually, FB is more secure than this, the relatively small nature of the group here doesn't make it any more secure (I'd bet Jimmy would like a tiny fraction of their resources).

But WTF, the offer is there. There is no link between this and FB. If you want, PM/email me and I'll send you an invite......

I think that I also see the points made by some of the techno dinosaurs,myself included.
Although I have always accepted that anything that I do in the cyber world is traceable to me.
It was never my intention to help scupper your original post,by posting anything,and I am unsure why the link has been removed.
I will state here that I have no interest in FB,or its workings,but accept that for some,it is of use.
If the link was re-instated,and people were left to make their own choice,then the issue would surely find it's own level?
You are possibly the only member of this board that I feel able to address in such an open manner,as I feel a quick punch in the face,and subsequent apology could save an awful lot of pissing about with diplomacy,from either of us!

Link removed as it would be too easy for casual trolls to find. As we know from some of the idiot spammers that pop up here, there's no rhyme or reason to it.

Ergo, reducing the chance of linkage to here i.e. Jimmy said he was fine about me giving it a plug, but I wouldn't like to drop anyone in the klartz.

Plus the point of making it invite only hasn't been lost (especially when considering the nature of both social media and what we're about) on me.......

My whole point is that I can see a very useful facility, that is going to waste, so why not have a slice but still maintain some control......
