Welcome to the forums!
Re: Welcome to the forums!
G'day.
Been on other forums for a few years and decided to come over to this neck of the woods.
I've got a 4" CM/Reflux/pot still hybrid thingy that I made. Pumps out bourbon, whiskey and lots of rum.
Just started getting into all grain. Time consuming but very rewarding.
Been working on fine tuning a scotch whiskey with Frank over the last few months.
I'm still finding my legs on this forum but looks like a great place.

Welcome SC, good to have you here. You going to be checking my spelling here too
I am also just starting out with AG, got my second mash on the go. Going to start a thread when I have it straight in my head (unless you want to start one), would be good to have another beginners point of view.
take it easy,
CC aka Al Q.

Welcome Scarecrow
good to see you here finally
...and I hope that we get LOTS more opportunities to 'fine tune scotch whisky' too...although all that sampling sure can be hard work sometimes.

Re: Welcome to the forums!
G'day everyone,
Quite a few names here I know !!!
I've been playing with beer kits for years and decided to have a go at spirits about 12 months ago. I have a pot still & a reflux still.
Whisky / Whiskey is my main aim but also like Vodka macerations so there's experiments happening there too.
Look forward to catching up with you all.

Re: Welcome to the forums!
You're a hard man to keep track of ... I was all like HEY where'd ya go
Things are great. I've been on MD, my whisky is good and getting better ...
I'm drinking DWWG + DME at the moment ( toasted french oak ) ... I'm adding a little oak barreled port and some of Harry's Peatreek to each bottle I make up trying to decide on what flavours and qty's I desire.
My current washes are still unmalted grain sugar heads but I am playing with pearl barley now, still using DME but am planning to add peatreek to my spirit run next time and will see how that goes ...
What have you been up to ?

Re: Welcome to the forums!
Hi everyone,
I am new to this and thought I would say hi. New to distil long and even newer to forums, this is the first one I have ever been on, so I will be having a look round and getting a feel for it. Any help is appreciated, apologies for any spelling mistakes, I would like to say its because I am always drunk, but unfortunately this is not the case, more likely I am not good on computers and also a bit stupid so can't read and type properly.
Welli am in the uk and have always loved the idea of distilling, but only recently got into it, I have recently acquired a t500 reflux still and was amazed at the result by just following the instructions, I am now hoping to improve the quality even more.
Looking forward to picking your brains and sharing experiences on here.
