Essences
Just wonder does anyone else seem to think that the Still Spirit Pouches (that make 1ltr) have a better finished taste than the Bottle they make (that make 2.25ltr,or is me fooling myself, and really there is no difference
,thing is i am really new to this,so not had enough experience to use anything else to make Spirits.

Re: Essences
I have to say that I have not compared these versions of what should be the same product.
I would expect them to be the same.
Taste is truly a subjective thing, and what works for you may not work for someone else.
I advocate that you should be guided by the opinions of others,
but should not treat others opinions as gospel.
Do it for yourself, and then share it with us.
Robert.

Re: Essences
I'm a big fan of the Still Spirits Icon pouches. I think they're mainly the liqueur and schnapps type drinks on the whole. So for me, the gloopy stuff in them that gives the mouthfeel and sweetness is better than the dry packs that you mix up.
Just my opinion but so far I've made the butterscotch schnapps and arancello, both of which I think are the best essences I've bought. Last time I placed an order for some brewing equipment, I bought a few more to make the cost up for free postage. Once I've tried these different flavours, I'll let you know what I think of them if you're interested

I also love the way you can pull the label off the pouch and stick it on the bottle

Re: Essences
There are literally thousands of different
essences if you go on the net, its frightening.
I bought a Hazelnut Schnapps for a friend,
made it thought it tasted disgusting she
loved it.
Taste is a very funny thing, my bro gets
hammered on my potato vodka one week and
hates the taste the next

Rather have a full bottle in front of me
than a full frontal lobotomy
