anyone patient enough to wait for tails?

Info specific to the T500

Just as I don't have an airstill, I don't have a T500.
I'd like an airstill but I don't aspire to a 500.
My common sense tells me that what needy says is right.... ::)
I seldom take myself seriously....

The guys posting above me have it right.
A T500 will throw out liquid that is best not all treated as hearts.
It may not kill you and won't make you go blind, but you can produce a superior product to the one you have been used to.
If you are happy with what you have, then stick with it.
If you want to improve it, then it is only a little more work.
The posters here are not trying to sell you anything, merely help you get the best from whatever equipment you own.
It is your choice.
Simples.

Never trust the manual. It is a sales device.

Especially in an age when manuals can be read on line before purchasing the product. ;D

Maybe I am missing something in this thread?
Why collect tails?
These days I stop collecting from neutral (pot) strip much earlier than before.
It saves me time and effort on the reflux runs.
Tails are tails and evermore shall be so..
Comprised of all the lower alcohols that I don't want to drink, unless I am using them for flavour, in a Whisky brew.

Well done, Pikey!

If you can't taste or smell heads there are two almost idiot proof tests
1: The Pain Test
Pour a tiny sample in a shot glass, lean over the glass and push the rim of the glass to your eye like a jeweler's loop. If there are heads your eye will burn. Repeat with a clean middle jar, no burn. Better yet, do the clean sample first.
2: The Pest Test
If you set your jars out to air, the jar/jars with the swarm of fruit flys is/are heads.

I am liking this.
It shows true dedication to the craft.
And a certain amount of bonkers! ;D
