Distilling shop bought alcohol
Hello, I have some cherry liqueur and Austins (Aldi version of Pimms), which, unsurprisingly, I dont like.
So was wondering, whilst my still is idling waiting for the wash to ferment, whether I could have a go at distilling these(seperately)?
Does anyone know whether it would be safe to do (Cherry liqueur 20%, Austins 21.9%) and whether it would taste ok (got to taste better than it does presently surely)?
Thanks,
W

It would be fine to run it through the still.
It will still have a small amount of flavor but running it through the filter will/should remove any lingering taste

Cleared out our drinks cupboard a few months back. All sorts of odd things in there, including a 30-year old bottle of ouzo that I haven\'t touched, various half bottles of cheap brandy, mead, ginger wine etc.
Bunged the whole lot into the still and double distilled it. Ended up with some lightly aniseed flavoured hearts that I\'m going to use for sloe liqueur, and some more strongly aniseedy tails that I haven\'t decided what to do with yet.
