Site Login
Just tried logging in using Firefox and a warning came up that the site login is not secure and open to possible hackers and info stealing oddbods. Its part of the new Firefox update which I have only just noticed.
Tried it on Google Chrome and its the same, the site is not secure.
Any ideas anybody.

Re: Site Login
I have also been getting the same silly info stacked box for a couple of days.
Not only on this site.
Ignore it, it might go away,
Robert.

Re: Site Login
Prolly cos it likely uses straight HTTP protocols etc.
It's a current fad to use https (the "s" being the difference).
Some browsers just show the padlock emblem but with a red line through it.......

Re: Site Login
https is not a fad. It is a secure protocol.
This is a standard warning, not an error, stating that the site is running http and without a secure connection. Normally if you go to a site and you are required to authenticate by, for arguments sake a userid/password then the site would have an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certificate bound to it and deployed as https, the s meaning secure.
Without having https encryption the site is basically open to various attacks and abuse as it could easily be hacked at a drop of a ferminting bins lid.
hope this helps.

That is more than I knew, so thanks.
Don't expect much to change here in the short-term.
Time to run for the hills if'n you are a scaredy cat!

No problem, I wasn't trying to come across like a dick and to be fair, I hadn't even noticed the BB was just plain http till the OP went up
