SITE ISSUES

Postby Jimmy » Sat Nov 30, 2013 2:15 pm

Hi all,

Apologies for the recent site issues - my web host decided to migrate my sites onto a new server, but neglected to tell me that they would be doing so which broke the address lookup. They also broke all of my email, and so I was unable to confirm to them that I was indeed the owner of my own sites. Skills.

I was also unable to login to do anything about it, because I had no idea where they had moved the sites to! Coupled with Thanksgiving in the US (where the sites live) I think their tech support were on go-slow and it has taken a week to get everything back up and running.

In case anyone is worried, there are no plans to shut down the site and I am investigating alternative web hosting arrangements!!!

Hope everyone is well, sorry again for the disruption.

It was a bit of a concern......

First few no access attempts, and I was just putting it down to a "shit happens" type outage, but as hours became days, it reminded me how reliant we are on the site management skills of people like Jimmy to keep us ticking over and connecting......

Top effort in getting it sorted matey......
