right.. were getting there.
so a copper at the top (under the coil), then ss, then copper at the bottom quite densly packed.
then run at 55-60'c.
sound about right?

Yep, Copper - SS - Copper
You can actually push it higher than that as the HETP value of scrubbers is a lot better than raschigs or saddles giving more reflux for the same height, but lower is always better.

laymans terms please.. im a home brewer not a rocket scientist lol
and iv spent the last fortnight on that site and got nothing but contradictions.

hetp somethng something theoretical plates
bigger value more reflux per height measure so you can have a shorter column and higher ouput %
imho run as per usual and only if the collection rate is significantly slower consider running at a higher temp, running faster/hotter could be counterproductive.

Don't go into the forum on the link I posted, but read the site contents, especially "Theory"
