ELECTRIC HOB/HOTPLATE.

ELECTRIC HOB/HOTPLATE.
I am actively interested in switching from bottled gas to a single, electric hotplate/hob.
I have already purchased a cheap (very) single plate hob which, seems more suited for use as a slow cooker than for heating a still boiler. On the highest of settings it keeps switching off so that the temperature climb is infinitely slow.
The optimum hob for me would have to be suitable for use with a copper pot still boiler of 35 litre capacity, in which the charge is normally about 23/5 litres. I had in mind one which had a high setting to rapidly bring to a boil as required, with variable settings to control a spirit run.
Any suggestions? …..Bearing in mind very limited funds available
Below are two possibles listed by ARGOS. Whilst there is an £8.00 price difference between them, I can't work out what practical differences there are.

Another one, on AMAZON, seems very cheap but again I can't make out if it would be suitable.

Any comments appreciated.

Re: ELECTRIC HOB/HOTPLATE.
Hmmm. Cheaper on ebay.
But all seem to be 1500w.
Which I suspect is not enough.
You have been spoilt by the power and controllability of gas.
Induction hobs are faster, but more sheckles and you would need a steam bath.

Modern (new) hotplates don't seem to exist at higher powers.
Did they ever?
Robert.

There is no ONE way.

I am beginning to think not. Even the catering ones and 1500w
This must be why people fit kettle elephants to into the boiler.
