On the lees and backset

So thinking of streamlining the process.and saving some time
Would it be ok to tip the wash into the boiler, leaving the lees behind......do the strip, then pour the backset (what's left in the boiler) back into the fermenting vessel on top of the lees, dissolve the sugar in the hot backset and start all over with a ready heated sugared base for the next wash?
Or am I being a bit daft

People do this with Rum washes all the time for added flavour.
Not sure it works for neutral, but happy to be corrected.

I do this with some Rum washes ED, as you say it should add flavour to the spirit.
One proviso H12rpo, I syphon wash into the still to keep as clean as poss.
PS Don't add all your backset, some say 20% others 25% of total ferment size,
so max about 6ltrs in 25.
