What weight in grammes is half a cup of yeast?
I'm looking at doing different washes/recipes.
What weight in grammes is half a cup of yeast? I'm worried about the difference in UK and US sizes and don't want to get this simple bit wrong.
Thanks.

A half cup of dried yeast weighs 75g and the difference between US and Imperial measures is tiny and not worth worrying about. I use this site for such conversions http://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/cooking/

Don't worry about things like that, let the yeast worry about it.
The yeast will procreate faster or slower to compensate for the difference in quantities it will only alter the length of time it takes.

Half a cup of yeast sounds a lot, so I presume you are talking about bakers yeast, I always use half a tin of Allison's, It's more than enough but cheap enough not to worry about.

Sorry I started answering this a couple of hours ago but got interrupted. By the time I posted it, Aidanmac had beaten me too it.

Thank you both.
When I donate to this site in January, I shall donate in both your names.
I just can't thank you enough.
