Alembic dome

I bought one of the SS domes a while ago and did see improvements on neutral spirit stripping runs in terms of quicker output

Now have run the first stripping run with an all grain wash

First impression was a big improvement to the Power I could run at without puking and consequently production speed again was improved

I will be coupling in the SD torpedo for the spirit run so I'll let you know how that goes

Another thought I've had was to use one of the Chinese triclamp flanges with a SD sight glass kit to give me a viewing window on the dome

Wondering if I used another threaded flange if it would compress and seal onto the slight curve of the dome or whether I should ask someone with the appropriate skills to braise/solder the stainless bit onto the copper

I can see how the dome would reduce puking and assist with collecting vapour. Does anyone know if they improve the quality of spirit run?
