The two I\'ve posted are 1024x600 and 1024x400 approx is that too big.
Is it ok to post actual images like that or should I show a thumbnail as a link.

Like I said you can resize them once uploaded. With todays high speed internet it does not matter if you upload large pictures, just resize them to look nice on the board.

Well Opus, it looks like it should do the trick......
then I thought \"what material is the plastic of the tube\" ?
Because some plastics, unless of the \"certified food grade\" type, can leach plasticisers into the spirit .......... something like HDPE, hell even LDPE should do the trick.
Design-wise it definitely looks like it will do the job...... I\'d just check as much as I can find out about the material that that tube is made off (the bungs look like they\'re HDPE - what about the \"O\" rings ?

Hi Phantom
O rings are Food grade Nitrile and the bungs are Food grade Acetal (apparently used in the brewing industry). The tube is Acrylic thats the one I shall have to check on. The alternative was Stainless steel but I want to be able to see what is happening in the filter. I\'ll post another image of the set up in action at some stage.
Would I be able to taste any effects of leeching in order to confirm if there is a problem.
The tube holds exactly 1500 ML so one pack of ALcotec\'s Carbon will more than fill it and hopefully I can master the cleaning/reactivating.

You were right to warn me Phantom, ARYLIC IS A NO GO. Read up on it, with hind sight should of done that first. It now looks like stainless steel being the best option.
At least I can salvage the acrylic for vacumn tubes for cleaning the fish tanks.
Thanks for the guidance. Thats what makes this a brilliant forum.

Anything that helps.......
Plus it\'s just one of those "learn by your mistakes" things i.e. a minor incident with petrol and the wrong type of can...
Petrol and alcohol..... both solvents but ones worse than the other. Besides, you don\'t drink petrol ;-D
