Probably not. I don't think handling very hot copper tubing in your kitchen is a good idea.
I tend to hang the copper in my shed and work all around it with a Go System Butane Mix Torch. This is a great piece of kit if you're going to do your own soldering.

You'll probably get one locally to you handy enough.
