I have the chance to purchase one of these at a very good price .. seems like a reasonable step up from an airstill.

Reading the posts it looks like I need a power controller and monitor plus a small amount of tubing to replace the plastic .. does 8mm copper fit on the output ok ?

Also is it a brass fitting internally ? If so guessing it will need pickling ...

hi lain if its a good price grab it,the still is versatile,change the cooling pipes and its a pot still and when the cooling pipes are set for reflux it can achive 94.5 abv with the right packing or 87 abv as standard with the ceramic packing supplied.as regards to the power controll the main reason for this is the compression of heads as total reflux cannot be reached without one then increase the power for hearts.the power controller also reduces the amount of water required so if your on a meter thats a plus
