Re: Air lock question
How do your brews get so excited that they would do that Rob?

Robert.
I have seen this also especially on the bigger fermenters. The 25 litre ones can blow out the little bubble locks. I bought two of the bigger (jam jar size) airlocks for the 200 litre fermenters but most of the time they just lie in a drawer unused.

Re: Air lock question
I have airlocks on my 300 L variable capacity tanks, mandatory for storage.
If I fermented in them the airlock would become a dangerous intercontinental missile

Re: Air lock question
Experience tells me - its too soon.
Counting bubbles isn't really the way to go. Do you have a hydrometer, this is the best way to tell when a brew has finished fermenting.
£2.50 suitable for homebrew beer & wine (not alcohol/proof thats separate and after stillin)

At 0.990 it is as good as done. Let it settle then run it. I have no idea what Part A is. Why would you need to add it?

Re: Air lock question
You will discover that it is not needed, time works just as well.
But you have it, so use it.
I did years ago.
These days I save my money and find it better spent on extra fermenters.
Robert.

There is no ONE way.
