Severe fit of depression!!
Ok so I have been hounded by invisible gremlins today breaking everything i want to use and just making life in general difficult!!
For some reason the forum took several attempts to log in and this is the 3rd time ive had to type this! - good practice for the typing skills i suppose
Anyway the reason for my depression - my new bestest toy (smarstill) has miraculously broke since the last time it was switched on and working fine 2 weeks ago!!
Went to use it today and nothing, nada, no comforting whirr from the fan, or lovely little droplets of booze dripping into my jug!!
Checked the cables and the power supply and all seems fine, and there were no issues when i cleaned it and switched it off at last use so im stumped and depressed
Any ideas??
Oh well suppose ive no excuse now not to do the hoovering (unless the gremlins have been at that as well!! fingers crossed lol)

Yes Al the reset button was the first thing i did before checking the cables and plugs - swapped sockets just in case it was that as well but still no joy
Its just so strange as the last time it was on it was working perfectly with no issues
Still fed up

I'd definitely swap the lead if you haven't already and maybe put it somewhere warmish in case it has some damp somewhere, there's not a lot going on electrically but if it went wrong I'd expect either the heating element OR the fan to pack in but not both at once, more likely to be the power supply I'd say or perhaps the reset switch.

Re: Severe fit of depression!!
Thanx for the suggestions guys, but as quick as the problem came, the solution did too!!
I, by accident knocked a heavy chopping board and it fell bumping the top of the unit and hey presto when i went to switch it on to show hubby that it wasnt working it worked!!! Think maybe something was stuck and the little bump has cleared it. Ran 2X4ltrs through since and it appears to be working just fine and dandy!!
Jimmy think the t500 is a little out of both my price range and expertise atm but def a thought for the future
Once again thanx guys
A very happy again Ali x
