Distiling beer
I have 20 litres of beer which I don\'t like. I\'ve remember reading somewhere that i could distill it to whiskey.
Has anyone done that here? If I pour 4,5 litres of beer into the distller (Beer has 4,5% alcohol) how much hearts can i collect from a one run?

Distiling beer
Hi blackmoor
using the pot still calculator on the homedistiller site your beer at 4.5% alc should produce around 1.4 ltrs @ 13% alc, this will take around four and a half hours to run including warm up time,so I should think that by the time you have distilled it a second time you will end up with a couple of litres of usable spirit at the most from the 20 litres. As this is all going to take best part of thirty hours distilling,IMO you may be better of tipping the beer down the drain if you really dont like the taste.
