Which is fine if you tow the van like you would a trailer, and not like most caravanners who need to be rammed off the road, dragged out and strung up (same as about 80% of horsebox drivers).........

Nice bit of kit there Capt..what have you used to insulate your boiler?? love the copper basket.
I've got an old copper boiler, had it for a couple years now. Thought I may make a "proper moonshine" still...a la Popcorn.
maybe one of these days.I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

A wrap or 2 of that silver foil bubble wrap sold as shed insulation, then wrapped in black PVC tape, I did my fermenters in the same way.

If you are considering chopping a hot water tank, all the strength is in the spun top and bottom, once you chop them off the walls are pretty flimsy. If you can think of a way of modding it without chopping the top off it will be a much stronger boiler.

Re: What I Did Today
Did my second stripping run this evening.
The wash wasn't my best - hadn't fully fermented out but still yielded a decent amount of strip.
Now got to find the time for a long and slow spirit run

Sometimes washes don't go all the way, but as long as you take whatever precautions your particular setup requires, they usually come through, if a little light in Ethanol.

Ok I'll bite. I had an apple and elderflower wine which carried on after racking, was perfectly crystal clear but bubbled for 18 months at least. Was then and still is a mystery.
