Just over £10 including postage. Thought I might as well have it.

Re: Corn Mill
I have a very similar one for which I paid rather more than you Seagull.
I replaced the wing nut type bolt, which holds the handle on, with a longer bolt of the same thread, from which I cut the head off. This meant that I could leave the handle off and drive it with an electric drill making things far far quicker.

Re: Corn Mill
Nice idea Toper. I don't have your inventive streak and certainly not the ability so it'll be hand cranking for me!

Re: Corn Mill
Believe me! I am totally without technical skills. The idea wasn't mine but picked up by browsing (probably on this very site.). I took the handle's wing nut to my local Hardware Store. They sorted out a suitable threaded bolt for me. I decided on the length I thought I needed to leave sufficient length of bolt on which to attach my drill.
Given Easydrinkers's facility in building his own stills I would regard him as the exact opposite of a Luddite who, historically, opposed and destroyed inovation.

Re: Corn Mill
These are great little Mills, but not very accurate. Dampening the wheat will make it easier.
Just take the spindle to the hardware shop.... You will want to upgrade to a cordless drill
after a few kilos

Feeling a need to speak up for ED here.
He has some interweb capacity.
He claims to have a life.
He has no concept of how to tweet, instagram, snapchat or use tumblr.
Or facebook.
And does not have the time or inclination to learn.
George Orwell- "1984", Soma for the masses,in a different form....
Robert.

George Orwell may possibly have, or may have wished to have, or may have intended to write the above, who knows?
A Luddite you are not!
