Nearly 800 members.!!!
I see at the present time we have 797 members, the latest being Billybacardi.
I've noticed that folks join but only a few post an introduction. Maybe it's because this hobby is "naughty".

Only because if you read the regs, it's hard to make enough beer/wine/cider etc and spoil HMRC and their "snout in money trough" experience. Check the numbers for spirits and the multiples caused by distillation, mount up quickly........
Other places may have additional "justification" (religious/cultural/etc), but here its just parasitic......
Some just register to read etc, some just because they "might" want a go later on, etc.
you can see from the regular contributors, who's got the bug and enjoy themselves........
maybe some are just scaredy cat "girlies"

The same thoughts came to my mind mate...I'm no statistician, we get enough of that from HM Gov, but out of curiosity the other day I took a look through the members stats....you have some folks join on ie..18/1/14 at 10.00. then that time is the last time they where on the forum..
Nowt so queer as folks.

Thank you Spudnik..
I've only been on here a few months but must admit it's a lot better than some forums I've been on.

Too right,I was in a supermarket queue yesterday, and nothing was odder than the lady in front of me,even the paid to be nice checkout operative was rolling her eyes and chewing off her own lips in an effort to retain sanity.
I suspect such folk are space aliens or experimental robots.
Robert.
There is no ONE way.

Ah, now that's different again. The troops on the tills are usually nice and helpful etc, but not only do they have the American style PMA mentality (positive mental attitude) drilled into them so they're always "smiley" etc but the rolling eyes etc that you mention could be because they aren't trained for fumbling people who aren't prepped for their turn at the "check out experience"! All the "now where's my purse/money/card" etc or the bag switching when this goes with that and that goes in the same bag as the other.......
or of course, there's the person at the check out, who's either been working too long or just worker there too long....... often demonstrated by the "out to lunch"/thousand yard stare look.......
so any punter faffing about or chatting bollocks gets the rolling eyes........
who knows eh !
