Re: upgrade
I think the DN40 thread is NTP (American version of BSP) but not entirely sure
EDIT
Now I'm confused, might wrong about the thread I mention above

Re: upgrade
maybe this will help via google
English term or phrase: DN40
English translation: Nominal Diameter (the number is the approximate bore diameter measured in millimetres)
DN 40 refers to a specific (nominal) flange size
Explanation:
DN plus a number identifies a specific flange size
It is a nominal size, ie the number is "only loosely related to manufacturing dimensions"
The concept of nominal size (DN) is now used to designate the size of a particular pipeline. It is defined in ISO 6708 as a numerical designation of size which is common to all components other than components designated by outside diameters or thread size. It is a convenient round number which is only loosely related to manufacturing dimensions. Nominal size is designated by the letters DN followed by a number. This number is the approximate bore diameter measured in millimetres.

Re: upgrade
DN40 will be pretty close, if it's 40mm internal bore plus 4mm either side for the wall and thread

Re: upgrade
As it looks our 2" TC Weldless adapter will do the job, but it's definitely more expensive than the simple adapters shown. Our adapter is universal and can either be screwed in directly, or in case of having a hole with or without thread and with about that diameter it makes good use of the second screw-on part with the special gasket to still make a tight seal. Both types are surely interesting options.
