Canadians: New wood block source! Tequila!
Whilst looking for more JD Chips in my local Canadian Tire (foreign translation: former auto parts and auto repair chain that now sells everything for the garden/home/outdoors), I came across a solitary bag of the jD Chips but a lot of these:

Of particular note are the Tequila barrel blocks - I've not seen Tequila barrel pieces in any form before. These are proper chunks of the barrel with a full cross section from char to outside of barrel, about 3cm x 3 cm at a minimum.
Needless to say, I bought some. I have a jar of the Tequila and one of Bourbon on the go. They were partially nuked and then I "had" to go on a short vacation. I will post a flavour update when I get back home. If the Tequila turns out decent, I can see a summer of margaritas in my future!

I forgot to update this. The result: not Tequila. Not even drinkable. Undrinkably horrid. I gave them to my neighbour to make smoked meat. Same for the other ones.

If you don't have a go....you'll never know Chuck.
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Exactly. I am always willing to have a go, but not all is a success.
