I started a wash using half a pack of this yeast and 6KG sugar which fermented out to 980 in 4 days!,this stuff must be on steroids lol.I have started another wash this afternoon using the other half of the pack of yeast and within an hour its up and away,think I might stick with this yeast if it distills ok,at £3.40 a pack its a bargain,tempted to try next time just using a third of the pack of yeast,reckon it should be ok will just take a few more days to ferment out.

Thats great,and good to hear the split packet theory works too.Alot of people ask about it.What did that first wash ferment out to,%ABV i mean.Results from what it yielded would be interesting too.Good work Optic.

I never took the OG but by the FG its got to be around the 14% range,the first wash has had the turboklear in 24 hrs now and its clearing well so should be able to run it soon.

I have started runing this wash,getting 800ml @ 61% (normally 55-57% I get with other yeasts)plus am getting another 300mls @ 38% to go in the tails jar.
