Misery and Gin by Merle Haggard
Choice Gin Lyrics:
"But here I am again, mixin’ misery and gin.
Sittin’ with all my friends and talkin’ to myself.
I look like I’m havin’ a good time but any fool can tell,
That this Honky Tonk Heaven really makes ya’ feel like hell".

If this thread is going to run and run, then The Drive by Truckers offer a couple of tracks, "Women Without Whiskey" and "Dead, drunk and Naked", and believe me there are many more by these guys.

How did it take us so long to come up with that one?
One of my favorite play it VERY loud songs.
And the part where he sings," ..he'd only come to town about twice a year,He'd buy a hundred pound of yeast and some copper line......."
Makes my 125 gram tins of Allinson's pale into insignificance.
