Re: Cheap Alternative Washes
Given the price of kale, and how little is needed in each wash, even if somebody gave you the kale for free, it would no where near halve the cost of what is, after all, a ridiculously cheap product.
However, growing one's own sugar beet could be a saving?

For our purposes, without actually turning it into sugar it could, if stewed for a while, provide the basis for a wash, with the he vegetable matter providing nutrients?
Just a thought.

Maybe just going a little to far for me. I will just
fire up my eco friendly 5ltr supercharged Jaguar and
drive to Tesco's.

Rather have a full bottle in front of me

Digging, get it? Topers post of growing sugar beet.
Maybe not rely upon it for all the sugar, but I bet a bit of pulp would serve as nutrient for the yeasties?
Robert.

T&L sugar is 49p @ B&M.
Cash and carry price is £10/25kg
Yeast £4 kg. So 20p in 5l.
Happy days.
Ps. Sugar beet is a pain in the arse. Not doing that again.

Lmao.
A serious point though. What's 'too far' for some is sits easily for others.
That said, IMO sugar beat is still a PITA...and melons.. and taters.
So gissa lift in the Jag
