Getting back on topic, I bought some kale last week, I resented the cost, I used to grow it.
Far to good to make a brew with, I ate it.
Lentils (actually, Yellow split peas, ring my bell) are my choice of yeasties food.

I put the Kayle wash on 10 days ago. Seems to have stopped at 1030. been there for about 4 days now. Ive hoyed a couple of crushed B12 tablets in to see if that helps.

Temp should not be a problem ATM,
but check if using bakers yeast,
they like to be kept warm.24 plus

For neutral you are only after the alcohol. Fast as you like 28-30c is ok

Mate, It looks like a bad one, sorry to say.
I have never used kale so can offer no specific advice.
You will get something from this wash, maybe just a little less than you hoped for.
Sometimes you bite the bullet.

Righto.

First apologies I read your post as a question as being about what had happened. Not as how to restart it. Although the answer is very similar.

To restart this I would raise the temp 2-3c (you have) AND Whisk it well (not just a stir) and get some air in. This will cause the yeast to go aerobic and hopefully restart.

Another restart method which is more intensive if that fails....
Rehydrate some yeast properly and then make additions of wash to that.

Put this wash on today fermenting at 25c and its gone off like a rocket should I drop the ferment temp?
Hope it tastes better than it smells.
I see what you mean about the fart smell my brew shed smells more like a cow shed.
Saying that though it looks more palatable than jet black.
can't wait to see how this turns out
