Addictive

Postby Seagull » Tue Mar 15, 2016 8:17 am

Since discovering this hobby I've found it to be way more addictive than the product we end up producing.

I just love seeing the process evolving from beginning to end. The production is way more satisfying to me than drinking the end result. (Probably because my finished result is no where near the quality of product you experts produce yet!)

Since finding this forum, my obsession has grown exponentially! So much to learn, so much gorgeous equipment to save up for!

I'm off on holiday for a week now and worried that I'll suffer withdrawal symptoms. Just hoping the hotel WiFi is up to keeping me in touch through this forum!!

Cheers!!!

First of all enjoy your holiday... ;) as for this hobby take it one step at a time, you said...

"Probably because my finished result is no where near the quality of product you experts produce yet"

This will come in time...4 years back the first run I did with my airstill following their write-up..we were drinking nail polish remover...Image as I didn't know any better.

Then like a lot of guys on here I found THE FORUM...this changed everything for me.
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Of all the beautiful things in the world, only man can invent boredom

Thanks Ice.

In the short time I've been on this forum, I have already taken in an immense amount of information and great advice. I can already see the difference in the end result.

Thanks to all!!

Yeah I got me a bit like that. I make more than I drink.

If I knew how to post it I would setup a 'vote' thread .. Maker or drinker? Ice!

I've lost count of how many times I've made the best neutral ever!!!!

If only I'd kept just one tiny bottle of each of my early spirit runs up until today, it would be very interesting!

Especially the point when I switched from my home made VM still to my StillDragon CM still, there was a definate drop in product quality while I got to grips with a CM setup.

VM virtually runs itself :-)

I produce very few superlative drinks.
Mostly it is just frigging good neutral, having gone through the Essencia.
Some of the infusions from those spirits are pretty good too.
My faves are the ones with the most work,(whisky's and Rums) and it is work, but keeps me awake at nights on this forum, ;D
