New selfmade (column/pot) still arrived today :)
Hi!
Bought this still for relatively low price. It arrived today. it is small, but watercooled. Strategic measurements
Column height:38 cm
Column width: 5,5 cm
Boiler height: 35 cm
boiler width: 25 cm
Boiler space when full:14,5 litres
How much wash can I put in the boiler without problems? 12 litres? The boiler has a vent I think like in the picture, is it for letting too much pressure out, what do you think?
Boiler has no heating element, was thinking portable hot plate...
Colmn has no "lock" for column filler, I was thinkin like two screwholes though the column and U shaper steel slip srewed to those holes. Or is there a better way? Will the screholes leak gasses?
I was thinking marble balls as column filler? Better suggestions?

All I can do is say what is in the T500 column. Copper rings first then ceramic saddles. As for temperature and pressure, unless the column is packed really tight there shouldn\'t be any pressure I don\'t think and the temperature seems to be quite sensitive so a hotplate with a thermostat would seem like a good idea. As for capacity, you fill about 75% of the available space in the T500 with wash.
Hope that at least gives food for thought, even though it may be complete rubbish!
