Holy Buffalo grass Batman !

I have a bit of a taste for Zubrovka Vodka https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%BBubr%C3%B3wka
and use the single blade of buffalo grass they include to flavour up mine.

I asked on NZ HD if anyone knew anything about it. Nek minit Kiwikeg pipes up "I know that stuff" shoots down to the garden centre and couriers me a pack. What a fantastic man !

If you like your vodka straight, a single blade of this puts a beautiful flavour through it. Like they say on Wiki hints of coconut and vanilla.

I'm guessing that a single blade of grass may not be a problem, but having read up on coumarin, I admit to some reserve. Doseage being my concern.
Now, in my younger days, I would sniff, smoke and ingest many substances, organic or man-made, just to see what happened.
These days I am more questioning.
There is also now more information, more easily available.
Believe it or not.
As with the home distillation, I just wish my fellow drink makers to stay safe.
But you must all tread your own path.

It's seems the jury is out then. Different countries seem to have very different takes on it.
So I think it needs to be used with real care.. Or perhaps not at all.

If you would like to try this you'd be better off buying a whole plant. That way you can try a couple of blades straight away. An hour in neutral will give you a hint of the beautiful flavour.
