First crop of the year
This just shows how's the seasons are off.
I have just watered our polytunnel.
It seems the mixed lettuce seeds that got away while being collected have taken. A veritable green carpet, some with 2 - 3 inch leaves!

Aye, was in ours yesterday, some stuff is shooting away.
But the stuff still in the ground from last year, carrot, parsnip, beetroot, fennel are still producing edible specimens.
Despite the mud and ice that goes on outside.
I think my Lettuce has succumbed to the last cold snap ....
Robert.

Did you sow these as a winter crop then or are they what's left of the summer crop?
