ok guys i could be gettin an early crimbo prezzie of the missis
she has said that she will get make a decent carbon filtration set up
and she has seen this type in the local homebrew shop http://stillspirits.com/ca/filters/filt ... ilter.html reasonbly priced at £48,has anyone experianced
these types,whats maximum it will hold,how long the carbon cartridge last etc

i cant really find any good info about these around the net

whats your thoughts please

Hi mag from what i have read the essencia is the best filter but is also the most expensive not just the unit itself but also the replacement parts,i have also read the still spirits model does a good job and replacement cartridges are much cheaper the essencia carbon cartridge can be refilled manually and the still spirits carbon cartridge can be boiled and dried in the oven ready for reuse

thanks for the input bill will call into brew shop
and have a gander i don't think the missis will
want to spend £80 but will look at the ez type
as you say the carbon cartridge are cheap

well looks like santa been early for me ;D
me and the missis went into town where homebrew shop is and she
got me the ez filter http://stillspirits.com/ca/filters/filt ... ilter.html
a bargain aswell cos i thought it was £48,but it was £46 even better ;)
also theres cartridges for them priced at £4.95 ( the same price for normal ss carbon filters)
will give a test review next week,i got some wash that been waiting to distill
for about a week and a half not had time to do it
