Grainfather as a Carbon Filter

Postby Anavrin » Wed Nov 02, 2016 8:26 am

I seem to remember some one once saying that Gert Strand suggesting in his book that the best way to carbon filter neutral was to pump the neutral spirit up through a tube filled with activated carbon.

It has just suddenly struck me that the Grainfather would be perfectly suited to this, if you could create an inline filter full of activated carbon to fit on the side of the boiler, you could use the GF's pump and just leave it running until your happy with the result.

Yes, he certainly did.

Would you need a volume control knob on the pump?

Hopefully I could use the tap already fitted to the GF to control the flow, maybe mount the filter on top of the tube that has the tap on top, not sure what the screw thread is though, looks like an odd one to me.
