Quite a few of those might only be a quarter full or less, I never quite finish a bottle unless it's something commonly available. The two old rarities are down to one or two drams and are only for sipping by the teaspoonful or pulling the cork and just smelling.
Anyway, add a Talisker Skye to that list, at £25 in Morrison's it seemed wrong not to.
They've also got Famous Grouse or Whyte & Mackay on at two for £20, but I don't buy them anymore.
It seems ironic that I spend more on good single malts than I ever did before I started on this hobby.

MMMMMMMM...Talisker. Reminds me of my Grandfather MacKinnon.
Currently I have only two from outside sources. Flor de Cana 25 year and Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye.

It's not often, but OMG. The cheapest place for bulleit whiskey Seems to be Amazon - they beat all the supermarkets and Google shopping and it will be here tomorrow!!

Bulleit is my go to cheap Bourbon. JD is a Bourbon of last resort for me.
I dearly love the Four Roses Single Cask edition.

I have to admit to being completely in the dark when it comes to four roses until my father bought me a bottle for Christmas, it's another to be drank with coke but better than JD when it's neat. I have to admit to sneaking a bottle of Balvenie Caribbean cask into the trolley today, I'll report back once the little one is in bed!

Surely there cannot be a whiskey better than JD? That simply does not compute!!

There can't be a whiskey better marketed than JD, like there can't be a single malt better marketed than Glenfiddich.
But I wouldn't give you a "thank you" for either.

For my tastes (and this is subjective) the only common bourbon worse than JD is Jim Beam. There are few extra cheap ones you can find on grocery store shelves in the US that are arguably worse.

If it's what you like Seagull, then it's what you like. There's no right or wrong in this game, unless it's bells...then it's very, very wrong! I used to love JD, but thinking back, I almost always drank it with coke & as I started drinking it neat I soon realised there were things I preferred. I lost my sweet tooth & went right off coke, that put my bourbon drinking on the back burner as a well paid job fuelled a taste for single malts!

I so have to agree with both of these posts!
Robert.

Right, its personal taste. I DON'T like JD but thankfully there are alternatives.
I do like Buffalo Trace, and my preferred tipple at the moment is Woodford Reserve.

Re: Whiskey drinkers, what's in...
I remember the Woodford being cheap as chips when it first hit the supermarkets, was easily cheaper than the gentleman JD that was supposed to be similar to. The price soon shot up though & it blew gentleman JD out the water.
I was quite surprised by whyte & mackay, I was expecting to have my face melted in similar fashion to Bells (or worse still, the father-in-laws "High Commissioner") but it never came. I notice that Buffalo Trace have released a white dog version, has anyone tried it yet?
