almost blew the shed up!!!
its been a few weeks since the incident.. think its worth mentioning as it may save someone but i doubt anyone in here is as daft as me....
i was setting up my boka for its first proper spirit run, all going well everything fitted easily and as i set the condenser flow the doorbell rang, i checked it over all well, so i left it heating up and answered the door to someone not in the know..
DUM DUM DUM!
a lil chat and a few Teas later my pal went off and i returned to the brewshed, Thankfully my smoke had gone out... i walked into an alcohol rich atmosphere, my condenser flow wasnt adequate, and the still i expected to find in full reflux had plumed most of the good stuff out n past the condenser ;( while i had set it to the flow i had used in the sacraficial run, i had also knocked back the amps to the boiler to about a third of full power, however this time the t500 boiler was operating at a full 8.5a
i shut down aired out and gave thanks.. when i restarted and started collecting the vapor temp was in the mid 80's ;( well i have some tails to add to the next run .. and thankfully the brewshed didnt go bang!!
its been said that when i go all i will leave behind is a crater and this was almost it ...
anyone else escaped their own foolishness unscathed?

Mine spews out the first vapours when it has the boka fitted, I always sit by it now so I can turn the power down as soon as it starts refluxing, does stink awfully pungent and flammable!!!
