Super 6

Have just put an Essencia super 6 wash on a few hours ago.Should be the last brand of Turbo i try before i settle on a favourite,or try a non turbo wash.One thing i noticed when mixing it all up was the amount that came in the pack,100gm in the super 6 as opposed to 215gm(i think) for a SS classic.I see it says to use 6kg of sugar,which i have,normally use 7kg in my others.

Are the essencia ones packed with better yeast and nutrients or something?just wondering

The Vodka Star pack is only 66 grams.

Instructions ask for 6 kg sugar.

I noticed the classic has a lot of small black things in it that are hard to clean out of the fermenter, the Vodka Star doesnt.

9 days after starting the super 6 i put it through the stll tonight,Very clear wash by the way,a slight tinge to it but very clear,

First two Litres came out very clean at 92%,the 3rd Litre must have just collected some of the tails,very faint smell to it,i should have collected that last litre in 500ml lots.Usually after 3L i collect each 100ml and check it.That litre will go back in the still with a few other bottles i have kept over the last few weeks....oh well,not to worry,the ol stock is way up now.Theres about 15L of filtered & unfiltered spirit for me to flavour and age etc,and now i can concentrate on my birdwatchers sugar wash thats on at the mo....Oh and if it matters,the SS Triple Distilled is by far my favourite....I have used ss classic,triple,alcotec48 and the super 6 over the last month...I wont bother with the alcotec 24,ss power or express.
