Re: Bank holls...

I ran some Rye that I had made the other day, and it came out pretty awful, so I started some more beer, which is going great.
Found half a demijohn of some Kellogg's Cornflake whisky under the bench that I had forgotten about from probably 3-4 years ago. That has developed into a really nice drink ...

Re: Essential Tips for T500

The water regulator is important, as someone running a tap or flushing the Looe will change the pressure and hence the flow. You can make one from bits off Amazon etc. Small pump, and a ball valve. There isn't much in it.

Make a gash brew, and run it, play with the settings, and remember it's ...

Re: Refractometer

For fermentation I use both a glass and an electronic hydrometer.
The glass for OG and FG readings, and the Ispindel electronic one during fermenting.
Thus I can watch the decline in SG. It's not the accuracy of the numbers, more the trend of the slope so I know when it's finished.
The glass one is ...

Massive project that will help towns but not the rural communities so much.

Not so. ALL lines will be fibre eventually. Even rural ones. Also the hidden advantage is the thieving ethnic minority scumbags won't have an easy source of copper left to steal.
Admittedly rural ones are usually the ...

Re: Beer that turned out well for the wrong reasons.

It's a recipe from the 1930's that I was given. It looked way too pale in the boiler so I tipped in more grain and a couple of kg of dark brown sugar to colour it up a little. The original recipe was fairly good but only about 3.5%. I did have a lot of time expired grain, but still measured ...

I will add my 2d's worth.

BT will be changing over to their new 21st Century Network (21CN) all digital network by about 2026. This means Fibre direct to the premises for everyone.
Its a MONSTER of a project and has been in progress for the last 20+ years.

OK so what's that to do with Sky and ...

Beer that turned out well for the wrong reasons.

The 76L of beer I made with the grain bill that was horribly miscalculated, has turned out pretty good but at a stonking 9% abv.
My first thoughts were just to run it through the still as it wasnt that good. However, a couple of weeks maturing and its almost totally clear, with a good flavour.
Mind ...

Don't forget that "Free" delivery is NOT free. You pay an annual subscription, AND usually slightly higher prices for the benefit of what was Next Day Delivery. Nowadays it can be up to 3 or even 4 days.
However, Amazon is pretty good with No Quibble returns, as long as you are careful unpacking etc ...
