Interesting product. What are they usually used for? Or is it a Brewing/fermenting pice of kit? What do the numbers indicate, sieve size I assume.

Ive been transferring with a glass jug, need to get myself a syphon really but just working with what i got at the moment.
For the 100L id say roughly 50-60L strained off with no problems but as i got to the bottom of the barrel the sediment kicked up and slowed things down some.

Nice, thanks for the heads up, might give cork a try.
Viton is meant to be food safe but it’s expensive. It would have to be made to the right measurements whereas with cork i can just make it to whatever size i want, ive got some cork somewhere as well so its a no brainer if i can find it.

Well the first one im thinking of replacing is this one from my t500

It doesn’t seem up to the job and leaks if overtight or not aligned properly when assembling the condenser arm to the pot, i want to replace it with a flat wide washer but not sure what material to go with, viton ...

Viton seals

Has anyone tried viton seals on your stills?
They have really high chemical resistance and are really durable. I'm wondering if they are any good for distilling.
I use them in chemical sprayers at work and they last ages, normal rubber seals break down pretty quick when using aggressive chemicals ...
