Weird though, I know it's a potentially serious thing, but it's hard to get my head around because I don't know anyone who's self-isolated, or contracted it, etc.

So can only try to follow the instructions/advice as and when.......

Must of my pupils cancelled at the weekend then the order from the governing
body of all A.D.I's sent an E-Mail with direct orders to shut down from Monday
for 12 Weeks. Well that takes me to the end of June and I was going to retire
completely at the end of July!! Some sort of early imprisonment then.

When looking at what self isolation entails.......I've realised that I've already been doing it for the last few years anyway!!!

Hi guy's,

Hope everybody is feeling well and doing ok, me and the missus are currently self isolating from monday just gone due to experiencing in particular soar throats for approximately two days which at the time felt worse then the average flu I.e dry and almost burning, my missus first experienced this symptom which I started to experience maybe a day or two later. We have both been experiencing fatigue and on/off runny nose throughout the duration approximately 4-5days now. I am stressing that for now we are both fine and so are our children but that a family member who teaches at our local college is currently experiencing chest pains and has now developed a cough after first experiencing our symptoms. She is a healthy 38 year old with no previous health issues.

I work in the civil service and in my vocation have no other option then dealing with people face to face in close quarters and have been more then likely exposed carrying out my job. What I would like to emphasise is everybody has a choice here.... you either gamble with your own and loved ones lives or you do YOUR damn best to protect yourself and your loved ones lives regardless of where you live or your occupation!

We live in a world that is a lot smaller then it once was and the way the public have flouted advice this thing is more then likely everywhere now.

Take care of yourselves and each other

As an edit the we both experienced fatigue from previous Friday evening onwards and developed sore throats around monday but have not been tested.

We are trying our level best to get to the far end of this thing alive. If we make it, everything else will be what it is.

I lost 75% or so of my income when we locked down last Tuesday and it has been made clear that it won’t be returning. The 25% I still have originates in Madrid and things are really bad there.

The cupboards are full and the doors locked. The little air still has been running flat out and stocks are good. I’ll take alive and bankrupt any day.

Be safe people. My colleagues in Spain say it is very, very bad.
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Vir prudens non contra ventum mingit.

If it’s broken, it might be my fault, is my responsibility and there is even a slight chance I can fix it 😳

Sorry to hear of your "sticky wicket" here, and wish your family a healthy resolution.
It is incumbent upon us all to only pass on the virus when the medical services can cope, as advised by HMGvt.
I can play by those rules.
No probs.
But I would fight them on lots of other shit, in happier times

Yes fuel is going down nicely, but the noise the new jag makes and
the fact its bright blue means it draws a lot of attention especially
when it goes into hyperspace mode.

So, is it just me that finds the traffic here slow at this time?

Remember the speed limit is 70mph. For Gods sake don't get up to 88mph. However, if you do manage that, then go forwards a year or so and see how the pandemic plays out, and if we are still all here!

Not sure how to put in a direct music link, but I think this Bohemian Rhapsody - with Covid-19 is amusing.
