Tonight, the wind blew the SS hat atop my chimney into just the correct position to divert itself down said chimney.
Filling my domicile with smoke, lots of smoke.
Head torch, ladder, long pokey stick and much cursing saw me correct the situation, but I have to go up again in daylight with some tools and do a permanent fix.
This winter has already lasted too long.

In the Thames valley we will get a Snowflake or two.
We leave the bad weather for you country folk, so you
can moan about it.

Was glorious today in the sunny south. Dropped the car off for a MOT, then did a 10 mile run. Came back and stripped 25l of Vodka whilst sitting in the garden and cut up a project box to take 2 fans and my voltage controller. Cut up an oak block, and used a forstner drill to make a stand to put my parrot in. My sight glass arrived in the post, just need my tri-clamps to arrive on the slow boat. Picked up the car as it had passed (no surprise there, I've only done 700 miles since my last MOT!). Tomorrow looks like another good day weather wise, so another run (just 10k this time), then a spirit run on the Vodka. Sunday looks cold and snowy though.

Lol Gaza, I have to to do something to keep the weight down, too much liking of good beer! I actually ran 2020 miles last year ( it was an effort in December to get to that total), puts the cars 700 miles in some perspective!

Up early this morning, had my Covid jab yesterday. I think the Oxford
one. Well I have a left arm solid and heavy, a bit like Arnold
Schwartzizname. The wife has The Simpsons of Covid.
They say two people in a thousand have any after effects, well you

Two mates had it, one was laid low for 24 hours, felt sick, sore arm, and very tired. But he has just had a Bone Marrow transplant for his Leukaemia and his immune system is brand new, so has had all his childhood jabs over the last few months. A few days later he was back to normal. The other just had a sore arm.
So hopefully that's the worst it gets. Sore arm seems common. but is a small price to pay for some protection.

Still just a couple of inches.
But falling now a little faster.

I took a walk around set moletraps 10 days ago, I found two, last visited 23rd December.
Frozen ground and snow since.
And this is global warming?
