I sat outside the other day and had a pizza... Should have ordered salad, at least I would be expecting cold food.

I bottled a beer today, unusually, ahead of it looking infected.
The last three came through OK, after bottling and a good shake.
I seriously need to wipedown the ENTIRE interior of my abode with bleach.
Torula and other fungi are now living indoors, and don't ask me about bacteria.

I was waiting for my nettle wash to come to temperature and was wondering how much coolant I used during a normal strip run. I put the coolant 'out' hose into a fermenter instead of the sink to find out. The run was 80 mins from first to last drop of product. I ran the still at 2200w and used 40l of coolant. Product was cold, only the first 50mm of my shottie had any heat in it so I could run it slower than I normally do.
I was considering getting a IBC or similar and pump etc to recirculate coolant but H2o is less than £1.50 for 1000l so feck that, I'll just have to live with the guilt of using small amounts of water. Does anyone use hot coolant to warm up wash for back to back strip runs as opposed to the charentais method 🤔.

I'll try it out next time. It takes 75 mins for me to bring 33.L up to temp with a cold thumper, if I shave 10 mins off I'll be happy.

If you had enough wash, you could use it as the coolant and run a continuous still.

I could invite around several people I know, between them
they talk enough hot air to prewarm a still.

Well today I managed to get a Booker card. I was talking to one of the owners where I work about wanting one so he just told me to register against the company.
Completed it today and picked up some sugar. Cane instead of beet this time, lets see if I can taste any difference.
I would suspect I won't be able to as I have a very unrefined pallete :)
I'm not under the affluence of incahol, thinkle only peep I am. Its just the drunker I sit here the longer I get.

Thanks to you all and Gaza's little recipe, I made some orange gin in the Megahome today. Got 3 litres out of it so hopefully it will taste nice in 5 days. Man did that thing heat up the kitchen though. Thank the booze gods for air-conditioning 🍻

Gin should be ready tomorrow after steeping so we will see. I thought you had good weather up there this week? My other half is from 'up there' and the family says it's good weather near Edinburgh. Might not stretch all the way up though I suppose
