Back in the game

Post by buffalobob »

Finally, after 3 months in limbo living with my son and his farty labrador dogs I'm in my new house  I am surrounded by cardboard boxes but am very happy. Before I moved I retired the lovely Urnestine (40L buffalo boiler) and converted an old but unused German 50L barrel into my new boiler. I just have to do the sac run now which has been bubbling for a week already :D Got to get your priorities right so I sacked unpacking and upgraded the power outlet in my garage to 20 amps, for my welder obviously, ahem. My new element turned out to be 3.5kw so I upgraded my scr from 4000w to 10000w. I might start thinking about unpacking my suitcase now the important stuff is done 🤔 , it's good to be back in the game

Welcome back.
Welcome to you new home. Do like people with the right priorities. I am sure some chap called Maslow said they most important things were food, shelter and vodka 😉

When are the farty labradors coming to visit?

Thanks chaps, it is exciting planning out where everything will go etc. The smelly labs are welcome...to stay well away :D . I've been totally glugless for 3 months so I'm keen to get started on stock replenishment mission ASAP

Welcome back to the game!
Once you have a decent fermenting space, the world is your oyster.
Enjoy!

:D I did have a decent brewing space until my son moved house too a few days ago. Now my brew area/garage is full of my sons gear that he couldn't stash elsewhere. I can't complain tho, his garage was full of my tat for 3 months till I eventually moved

I know someone who has a wooden false wall in the garage. Brick wallpaper and a hidden door.

You don't know it's there.

Someone asked me what were the main constituents of my personal Retail Price Index.
Sugar,Malt and electricity.
Everything else is peripheral.
